CaTyra Polland is a published author, established editor, entrepreneur and speaker/instructor. CaTyra began writing poetry in middle school and has an affinity for reading. She loves helping her clients materialize their books by editing their manuscripts. CaTyra's passions include promoting and celebrating Black excellence, encouraging youth to read and write, and encouraging others to pursue their goals and dreams.
CaTyra's debut book, Professionalism What’s That? outlines the elements of professionalism. The book touches on phone and email etiquette, how to dress for success, conflict management, code-switching and other related issues. The book is an introduction or refresher for employees, volunteers, and business owners. It serves as a guide on behavior conduct appropriate in formal and informal settings. The book and workbook companion are available on Amazon (paperback or e-book). CaTyra recently published a journal tailored to black women and is working on her first poetry compilation.
CaTyra is an innovator who launched several programs and projects including Rochester on Deck, Writer's Paradise and CEO Circles. CaTyra is a force to be reckoned yet who is swiftly becoming a standout leader not only in her community but throughout the nation. It is just a matter of time before she's an international business leader.
